Dive into the history of Japanese ceramics with the Kawamoto Masukichi Seto Tea Service, a true gem from the Meiji era.
Kawamoto Masukichi, the third son of Kato Yasuzaemon, began his studies at Kato Yuji’s kiln, specialising as a ceramicist.

After becoming the adopted son-in-law of Kawamoto Hansuke IV and inheriting the title of Kawamoto Hansuke V, Masukichi started a new chapter, creating works under his own name. His pieces, exquisitely crafted in Seto porcelain and enriched with innovative techniques, were acclaimed not only in Japan but also received international recognition.

This tea service is not merely a piece of art; it is an invitation to appreciate tradition, beauty, and history.
Come discover these pieces and many more at our Antiques Shop.
